Transferwise – Clever On-Trend Anti-Bank Positioning

If you have ever tried to send money abroad or receive money from overseas you’ll know how much money banks tend to make on the transaction.

Transferwise has built a business model that bypasses the usual bank routes and saves you quite a bit of money. This in itself is pretty compelling. However, what grabbed our attention was the clever new brand positioning.

Tapping into the current vibe of banks being evil dictators, they have created a great feel good positioning of ‘getting one over’ on the banks.
