It is well-known – and well researched – that people are resistant to change. Biologically, this tendency is good for survival. But when it comes to innovation research, it’s particularly bad, as consumers tend to back the least challenging ideas.
To counter this, we’ve developed insight tools that overcome consumers’ natural barriers. We use a combination of our Collaboratories and Protogaming tools to put people at ease. And to encourage them to consider ideas from a range of different perspectives. We also use projective exercises to help them question current ways of thinking.
The results? Run either face-to-face or virtually, they provide a far more accurate reading of an idea’s potential when compared to idea screeners and focus groups.
